“The right to approach the court is a fundamental right and if people are prevented from doing so, it will have serious consequences.” Delhi High Court has made this comment today. The court said this because the legal cell of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had announced to protest in the district and high court premises against the arrest of Kejriwal. The High Court heard the petition filed by a lawyer against him.
This will have serious consequences
Advocate Vaibhav said in the complaint filed regarding the protest in the court premises, 'It is not right to make the court a battlefield for your political purposes.' Acting Chief Justice Manmohan's bench said, 'It would be good if you understand. Many people keep saying many things. They should be prepared to take risks if demonstrations are held in the court premises. This will have serious consequences. The right to appear in court is a fundamental right. No one can stop it. If anyone stops the common people, they will have to face very serious consequences. The laws made by the Supreme Court will be implemented. The courts cannot be stopped. Justice Manmeet Pritam Singh Arora was also included in the bench.
No one can protest in the court premises: Advocate Vaibhav Singh
In his petition, lawyer Vaibhav Singh sought an immediate ban on calling illegal protests by AAP political workers in the court premises. Singh said, 'No one can protest in the court premises.' In his petition, Singh said that 'nowadays it has become a trend for political parties to involve members of the legal cell in calling for strikes and protests. 'AAP's legal cell has called for protests in all district courts of Delhi on March 27 against the arrest of CM Arvind Kejriwal by ED.'
