Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar reacted to the statement of Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis in Nagpur, Maharashtra on Thursday.
He said that ask the leader who talks about saving religion whether it would not be our responsibility to save religion and your children should study in Oxford-Cambridge.
If we want to save religion then we will save it together. It will not happen that we will save religion and the Deputy CM’s wife will make a reel on Instagram.
Fadnavis had said in Aurangabad on November 9 that ‘vote jihad’ has now started in the state. If they are doing vote jihad then we should be prepared for ‘religious war’.

As citizens of this country, it is our duty to protect democracy. It is my duty to protect democracy, that is why I am standing here today and giving a speech. If this is a religious war and the protection of religion is in danger, then whichever leader tells you to save religion, you should ask that leader a question – Sorry sir, you want to save religion, just tell me one thing, your son and Daughters. But join us in this fight to save religion?
This will not happen, because it is our responsibility to save religion and it is the responsibility of your children to study in Oxford-Cambridge. If we want to save religion then everyone will save it together. It will not happen that we will save religion and the Deputy CM’s wife will make a reel on Instagram.
I had said the same thing to a BJP friend also. I said friend, religion has to be saved. So come, the children of the leaders will also save the religion. So my friend said that Modiji and Yogiji do not have any son or daughter. I said – He is a nephew, will he not come with us to save the religion?
We are beginning to understand this intelligence. Baba Saheb Ambedkar had said, get organized, become educated, struggle. We ate your salt, we got educated with your tax money. Now we understand this politics, we understand this game.
