It is unfortunate that the Scheduled Caste community is not getting representation in the cabinet and the participation of women is decreasing: Sudesh Mahato

Ranchi, 16 February (HS). AJSU Party President Sudesh Kumar Mahato said on Friday that the form of the cabinet reflects the thinking, policy and intentions of the government. This time also the Scheduled Caste community did not get representation in the cabinet. It was expected from the Chief Minister that the large population of the state, which has been leaderless for the last 50 months, would get leadership in the government but this did not happen. This is very unfortunate. Jharkhand is the only state in the country where there is not a single minister from the Scheduled Caste.

The representation of half the state's population has also been reduced in the cabinet. For the first time in the history of the state, 12 women MLAs have been elected and reached the House. Of these, eight women MLAs are from the ruling party but only one woman has been given ministerial post in the Champai Soren cabinet. Earlier there were two women ministers, but instead of increasing this number, the government has halved it.

The government had a golden opportunity to give impetus to women empowerment, but the government did not show any interest in this matter. Apart from this, the government has not given place in the cabinet to the OBC community as per the population. They have deceived the largest population of the state. The participation of the Christian community in the government cabinet is still zero. This shows the mentality of the government. Their only objective is to cheat the public and get their votes by showing them false promises and unfulfilled dreams. When it comes to giving them political responsibility, this government goes back on its promise. The public is no longer going to be deceived by them. The public will respond to this by ousting this government from power.
