New Delhi, September 12 (HS). It has been raining in the national capital Delhi and its surrounding areas since last night. Delhi has received rain for 10 days so far in the month of September. This has brought down the mercury. The maximum temperature was recorded one degree Celsius below normal (32.6) and the minimum temperature was recorded three degrees Celsius below normal (23.0).
The India Meteorological Department has predicted good rain in Delhi-NCR today and tomorrow in its forecast. It has also said that winds can blow at a speed of 30-40 kilometers per hour. This will happen due to the monsoon trough being close to Delhi. The department has issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rains in 19 states including Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
According to meteorologists, Rajasthan, Haryana and Chandigarh will remain cloudy till September 15. Heavy rains will occur at isolated places in Chhattisgarh on September 15, 16, 17, in Madhya Maharashtra today, in Assam and Meghalaya on September 13 and 14, in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar and Odisha till September 15. In view of the monsoon's attitude, the Uttar Pradesh government has issued orders to close schools.
