Income Tax: It is being seen that some private institutions or individuals are giving notices to the taxpayers in the name of Income Tax Account that there is some flaw in your return. Generally, after seeing the income tax account notice, the taxpayer's cataract appears to be dying. Actually the taxpayer does not need to fear. They should first check the authenticity of the notice.

Nowadays, notices are sent by fake people in the name of Income Tax. That is why it has become mandatory for taxpayers to verify whether the notice received is genuine or not.

For which e-mail ID has the notice been sent to the taxpayers first? This should be investigated. After that the notice can be verified by visiting the website of that department.

Income Tax Department also sends mail

Generally, if the notice given by the Income Tax Department is received by mail, the mail ID should be incometax.gov.in. If any text other than this is found in it then the notice can be viewed with suspicion.

Then for more accuracy you as a taxpayer can visit the Income Tax Account website and see whether the notice is correct or not.

Why Validate Income Tax Notice or Order?

– After this, first of all you have to enter your PAN card number.

– You will see the date on which the notice or order was issued, whether you enter the PAN number and type the assessment year or enter the mobile number.

– If you have a Document Number then you can enter the Document Identification Number

– On doing this, one time password-OTP will be sent to your registered mobile.

– It has to be submitted by entering OTP

– If no notice has been given then it will appear on the Income Tax website that no notice has been given to you.

– If notice has been given, it will be visible online.
