Jhansi, 20 February (HS). Vice Chancellor Professor Mukesh Pandey was given a grand welcome by the teachers, staff and students of Bundelkhand University in Gandhi Auditorium today on the selection of Bundelkhand University in the Prime Minister Higher Education Mission (PM Usha). Jhansi-Lalitpur MP Anurag Sharma was the chief guest of the program.
In his address, Registrar Vinay Kumar Singh welcomed the guests and said that under PM Usha Project, Bundelkhand University has been selected under MERU Project for research and other educational activities. First of all, the Registrar expressed gratitude to the Governor, Chief Minister, Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay, Minister of State Rajni Tiwari and Principal Secretary Higher Education MK Aggarwal for being selected in the project. With the PM Usha grant, the university will be able to expand research, innovation, teaching and society-oriented activities as per the parameters of the project, as well as obtain many national and international affiliations. The university will achieve the outcome of the project as per the objectives of PM Usha and the intention of the government.
Bundelkhand University Vice Chancellor Professor Mukesh Pandey in his presidential address said that today Bundelkhand University has been included among the 26 selected universities of the entire country and 6 of the state, this is a proud moment for us. He informed the special guests, teachers and students present about the various standards and components of the scheme. He said that all the concerned officers and teachers worked hard in a planned manner to prepare the proposal of this project, in which mainly the Registrar, Finance Officer, Professor SK Kabiya, Dr. Yashodhara Sharma, Engineer Sabir Ali had special contribution.
Praising MP Anurag Sharma, he said that whenever the MP went to Parliament, he told in detail about the achievements of Bundelkhand University and made every possible effort for the development of the university. He said that our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a target of making India the third largest economy in the world by the year 2030 and in achieving that target, Bundelkhand University located in the historical city will play an important role at the state and national level.
MP Anurag Sharma congratulated the Vice Chancellor, Registrar and all the teachers, staff and students of Bundelkhand University and said that it is a matter of pride for Bundelkhand University to be included among the selected 26 universities of India. He informed that Bhoomi Pujan has been done for a waiting room of 200 beds in Jhansi. He encouraged the university to realize the three slogans of the Prime Minister: Perform, Reform and Transform. The MP said that our university is on A grading today, we are continuously striving for A grading. He told about the importance of BIDA in Bundelkhand. He said that BIDA should be taken advantage of for research funding and internship and in future, due to BIDA, migration of people of Bundelkhand will be reduced.
