It is a happy day for the labor families of Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister will distribute an amount of Rs 225 crore.

Bhopal, December 4 (HS). Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will distribute assistance amounting to Rs 225 crore to the families of workers in 10 thousand 236 cases of ex-gratia assistance under Sambal Yojana with a single click. Labor, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Prahlad Singh Patel along with local public representatives and beneficiaries will be present in the program organized in Bhopal.

It is noteworthy that Sambal Yojana is a very important scheme for lakhs of workers working in the unorganized sector in the state. Under the Ex-gratia Assistance Scheme, Rs 4 lakh is provided in case of accidental death and Rs 2 lakh in case of normal death. Similarly, in case of permanent disability, Rs 2 lakh is provided, in case of partial permanent disability, Rs 1 lakh and Rs 5,000 are provided as funeral assistance. Under Sambal Yojana, on one hand, Rs 16,000 is given to women workers as maternity assistance, while on the other hand, children of workers are also provided free education under the Education Incentive Scheme. Lakhs of laborers and platform workers of the state have also been included in Sambal Yojana and their registration has been started. They are also being provided benefits under Sambal Yojana. In this, the worker gets financial assistance from birth till death.

Many schemes are run by the state government through the Construction Board for lakhs of construction workers in the state, these include ex-gratia assistance in case of death of construction workers and assistance in case of permanent and partial disability. All Sambal beneficiaries have been identified in the eligible category under Ayushman Bharat Niramay Yojana. Now they are also getting free medical treatment worth Rs 5 lakh annually. So far, 1 crore 73 lakh workers have been registered in the state under Sambal 2.0 scheme.
