ISRO is preparing for its biggest experiment till date. The success of this experiment will determine the success of the construction of the Indian Space Station (BAS) and the Chandrayaan-4 mission. Therefore this mission is very important. If ISRO sources are to be believed, the Indian space agency can launch the SPADEX mission on 30 December 2024.
Launching will take place from Sriharikota
The launch will take place from the first launch pad of Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota. PSLV-C60 rocket will be used for launching. Because another launchpad is being prepared for the launch of Gaganyaan-G1 mission. Its preparations are also going to start from next week. The SpaceX mission will connect two different spacecraft in space.
In October, ISRO chief Dr. S. Somnath said that ISRO can execute the SPADEX (Space Docking Experiment) mission in December. Because space docking is a very important technology for Chandrayaan-4. Docking means joining different parts by bringing them together. Currently, integration of SPADEX satellites is underway. It will be ready in a month. After this they will be tested etc. There will be imitations.
Why is the SPADEX mission important?
This technology of connecting two different objects in space will help India to build its own space station. This will also help in Chandrayaan-4 project. Spadex means that a satellite will have two parts. It will be launched from a single rocket. Both of them will be released at different places in space. In future, Indian space station will also be built based on this technology.
This experiment will be conducted in low Earth orbit
After this both these parts will connect with the Earth in lower orbit. So that they become one unit again. A lot of work will be done throughout this process – as the two separate parts will automatically find each other in space. I will come to them. So that they can come to the same class. After this both will connect with each other.
