ISRO announces 'World Space Award' for 'Danko', Chandrayaan-3's historic achievement

Chandrayaan-3: Scientists of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) created history by successfully landing Chandrayaan-3 near the south pole of the moon. ISRO is being discussed all over the world for this unique work. Now this Chandrayaan-3 will be awarded the World Space Award by the International Space Federation (ISF) for its historic achievement. It is worth noting that apart from India, so far only the spacecraft of America, Russia and China have been able to soft land on the moon.

The award will be presented during the inaugural ceremony of the IAC

The award will be presented during the opening ceremony of the 75th International Astronautical Conference (IAC) in Milan, Italy on October 14. It is worth noting that India became the first country in the world to successfully land Chandrayaan-3 near the south pole of the Moon on August 23, 2023. In this regard, the Federation said, 'ISRO's Chandrayaan-3 mission exemplifies the combination of scientific curiosity and cost-effective engineering. It symbolizes India's commitment to excellence and the enormous potential that space exploration offers to humanity. This mission is a global measure of innovation.

Successful integration of space and nuclear sectors

One of the many achievements of Chandrayaan-3 was the successful integration of India's space and nuclear sectors. In which the propulsion module of the mission was powered by nuclear technology. It is worth noting that many programs have been organized across the country on the occasion of the first anniversary of Chandrayaan-3 landing.
