Hamas and Israel have been fighting a war for the last eight months. Israel is committed to destroy the Hamas organization and this resolve is taking a toll on the people of Gaza. The humanitarian conditions in Gaza are fuelling outrage among people around the world.
But Israel does not want to be misled in its resolve. Israel says it will soon implement a plan to replace Hamas rule in Israel. Israel's National Security Adviser Tzachi Hanegbi attended the University of Richmond's annual Herzliya Conference on Tuesday. He said eliminating Hamas' ability to rule Gaza would open opportunities for countries that want to work with the Gaza government. He told Gaza that the new leadership that will take power in Gaza will include Israel's Abraham Accords partners, the United States, the European Union and the United Nations. The Israeli military will continue to seek out and eliminate Hamas members.
Hanegbi said, 'We have been talking about this plan for a long time. But then we were trying to completely eliminate Hamas. However, now we do not need to wait until Hamas is completely eliminated.
