Gaza: At least 30 people, including children, have been killed and more than 100 Palestinians injured in an Israeli airstrike on a school used by displaced Palestinians in central Gaza as Israeli negotiators prepare to hold talks with international mediators on a proposed ceasefire.
Israel said it attacked a Hamas command center at the school. It was used to order attacks on Israeli forces and was heavily armed with high-quality weapons. Hamas dismissed the Israeli military's response as “misguided”.
Civil protection workers in Gaza said the school has sheltered thousands of people and is also being used as a medical site. AP reporters also saw a dead child in an ambulance.
