Benjamin Netanyahu on pager attacks: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has admitted approving the Pager attacks in Lebanon. Pager attacks in September killed about 40 people and wounded 3,000 Iran-backed Hezbollah soldiers.

On September 17 this year, thousands of pagers belonging to Hezbollah soldiers were detonated for two consecutive days. Iran and Hezbollah have blamed Israel for this. The pager was used by Hezbollah soldiers as a low-tech means of communication to avoid Israeli location tracking.

Complaint to the United Nations against pager attacks

Israel announced an expansion of the objectives of the war, which began after a Hamas attack on October 7, to include its fight against the group's ally Hezbollah on the country's border with Lebanon. A complaint was lodged with the United Nations Labor Agency regarding this serious attack in Lebanon and it was described as a “horrific war against humanity”.

Hezbollah orders 5,000 pagers

According to media reports, Hezbollah has ordered branded pagers for its soldiers. Hours before the explosion, Hezbollah had distributed pagers among its soldiers. Hezbollah was confident about the safety of this equipment. However, according to the report, there were explosions in these pagers which even the scanners could not detect.

Hezbollah ordered a large quantity of pagers. A batch of 5,000 pagers were brought to Lebanon at the beginning of the year. These pagers suddenly started overheating and soon exploded.
