United Nations: The UN General Assembly on Friday presented a resolution to the UN Security Committee to move Palestine from mere observer status to full membership.
Israeli Ambassador Gilad Erdan tore up the resolution with a shredding machine in his hand in an angry protest.
It is noteworthy that India had supported that proposal. In fact, the original letter of the UN (UNO at that time) prepared in 1945 shows that one country cannot occupy another country. This is what makes Israel sick. It has captured the northern part of Palestine in Gaza as well as the Palestinian territories on the West Bank of the Jordan River. Hamas is waging a war to the death against Israel in the Gaza Strip.
Amidst this reality, Erdan described the UN resolution as a violation of the UN Charter and said that it revived the US-vetoed resolution in the Security Committee, making the veto invalid. Which is tantamount to open violation of the United Nations Charter. Erdan said that this day will be known as a shameful day in the history of the United Nations. At this time I also want to remind the whole world that this is an immoral step. Today I want to show the mirror to all of them so that they can see that with this disastrous vote you are tearing the Charter of the United Nations to pieces with your own hands.
Saying this, Erdan tore the document into pieces with a small shredding machine, the video of which is also going viral on social media.
Ultimately this resolution was passed by the United Nations General Assembly with 143 votes. At that time 25 countries had not voted. Whereas 9 countries including Israel and America voted against the proposal.
The passage of this resolution now opens the way for Palestine to move from observer status to full membership under Article 4 of the United Nations.
An angry Israeli representative (ambassador) said that the resolution supports modern Nazism. So Yahya Sinwar, the soon-to-be President of Palestine, will become a modern Hitler.
Along with this, a question is arising in the minds of analysts that if Palestine gets the status of an independent nation, then it will also become an official member of AU, but what will happen if Israel does not give up its territory? A partly similar situation has arisen in the Ukraine war. At the same time, Russia has captured only one-fifth of Ukraine. But Ukraine is a full member of the United Nations. The situation there too is very confusing. At this stage, there appears to be no solution to both the Ukraine and Gaza wars. So in the east, China is encroaching on Taiwan. There is no solution in sight to the India-Pakistan and India-China conflict.
