Israel: Will there be a break in the ongoing bloody war in Gaza? Series of meetings in Paris

A ceasefire is being reached for the second time in the Gaza war that has been going on for almost five months. The ceasefire will also be for a limited time and its main objective will be the release of about 130 Israeli citizens held hostage in Gaza. Meanwhile, Israeli army attacks continue in Gaza. Amidst these attacks, the Israeli army captured many Hamas fighters fleeing among the displaced people.

Now armistice talks are going on in Paris. Qatar, Egypt and America are playing the role of mediators in this conversation. According to Israel's National Security Advisor Zachi Hanabi, the Israeli delegation has returned to Tel Aviv after participating in the talks.

Negotiations underway in Paris

The delegation put forward many points in favor of the ceasefire. These negotiators will give information about the terms of the ceasefire to the War Affairs Cabinet. After this the war cabinet will take a decision on ceasefire. It is believed that if there is a ceasefire, it will be during the month of Ramzan so that Muslims can carry on their religious activities.

Talks so far have provided assurances that there will be a temporary ceasefire in Gaza, but that a large number of Palestinian prisoners will be released from Israeli prisons in exchange for Israeli hostages. In the November 2023 ceasefire, three Palestinian prisoners were released in exchange for an Israeli hostage. Meanwhile, the war continues in Gaza. An Israeli army major was reportedly killed in a clash with Hamas fighters.

The death toll of Israeli soldiers has increased

With this the number of dead Israeli soldiers in Gaza has increased to 239. 30 thousand Palestinians have been killed in this war. Meanwhile, several Hamas fighters who were fleeing Khan Yunis with civilians have been captured by Israeli forces. Weapons have been recovered from the arrested people. This information has been given by the Israeli Army.
