'Indians should avoid travelling to Lebanon'

Meanwhile, the Indian Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon on Wednesday issued an advisory strongly advising Indians against travelling to Lebanon until further notice. “As per the advisory issued on August 1, 2024, Indian nationals are advised not to travel to Lebanon until further notice,” the embassy said in its notice.

He advised Indian nationals residing in Lebanon to leave the country as soon as possible and advised people to exercise extreme caution and remain in touch with the Embassy.

War could break out in Lebanon

The whole world is afraid that war may break out in Lebanon. US President Joe Biden has also said that war may break out in Lebanon. Amidst the heat of the war, Turkey has announced that it will support Lebanon in the war. Seeing the seriousness of the situation, India has asked its citizens in Lebanon to leave immediately. Meanwhile, 51 people were killed and 223 injured in Israeli air strikes in Lebanon on Wednesday.

Emigration of Lebanese citizens

The displacement of Lebanese citizens from areas near the Israeli border continues. So far, more than five lakh people have left their homes and taken refuge in safe areas. People are migrating from there amid the sounds of war.
