Israel kills 22 people in Beirut, Hezbollah leader escapes

Tel Aviv: More than 22 people were killed and more than 100 were injured in an Israeli attack in central Beirut on Thursday. Lebanese officials said the Israel-Hezbollah war has been intensifying over the past few weeks. Large scale attacks are taking place. But Thursday's bombardment by Israeli tanks was originally intended to target Hezbollah leader Waqif Safa, but due to caution he escaped and walked away.

Actually this Wakif Saba was entrusted with the responsibility of making contact with the Lebanese security forces. That's why Israel targeted him.

Israel has now started attacking areas with significant civilian population as well. There are residential flats and shops in this area.

Sadly, Israel did not even warn civilians or shopkeepers to evacuate the area before the tanks advanced.

Giving this information, Lebanon's Health Ministry said that at least 22 people died and 117 were injured due to tank shelling. The condition of some of them is critical.

In this attack, a petrol pump was also shot at and a fire broke out there. That's why drops of smoke were seen flying. The surrounding area was in ruins. Rescue workers are now searching for people buried under the debris.

It is noteworthy that Israel has killed many top Hezbollah officials in major air and missile strikes in the last few weeks. Ultimately he killed the last Hezbollah leader, Hassan Nasrabaka.

Two UN peacekeepers were also injured in the attack. While they were at the top of a tower, an Israeli tank shell hit the tower and the two workers fell to the ground as the tower collapsed. That's why he suffered some injuries.

Meanwhile, US Vice President Kamala Harris has requested both sides to maintain peace. But neither of them is ready to listen to this.

It is noteworthy that US President Joe Biden has also repeatedly requested Israel to maintain peace. On the other hand, they give Israel steamships full of weapons. It is being said that NATO countries under the leadership of America are also providing arms assistance to Israel. But now the youth there are also joining the Israeli army. Thus, there is a huge gap between what America says and what it does. This war has become a war between Hamas, Hezbollah, Houthis and Iran against Israel. Which reminds of the crusade that started in the 11th century.
