Instead, why not use the things that our elders have been using for centuries?
Today we are telling you some secrets of Ayurveda which can cure high acidity from its roots.
1. Amla: Period of Acidity
In Ayurveda, Amla (Indian Gooseberry) is considered ‘Amrit’, and it is no less than a boon for stomach problems. Amla calms the heat (pitta) in our stomach.
- Recipe: If there is a lot of burning sensation, then take one spoon of Amla powder with some water. You can also eat gooseberry jam, it gives coolness as well as strength.
2. Mulethi: Friend of throat and stomach
If the acid is reaching the throat, then start sucking a small piece of liquorice. Mulethi heals the inner lining of the stomach and prevents problems like ulcers. By taking its powder with cold milk or honey, HCL gets neutralized immediately.
3. Coriander water: guarantee of coolness
Dry coriander kept in our kitchen is not just for spice.
- Recipe: Soak one spoonful of coriander and a little sugar candy in a glass of water at night. After waking up in the morning, filter this water and drink it. Believe me, your stomach will get so much coolness that you will forget all the burning sensation.
4. Ghee: Bile destroyer
Are you surprised? But it is true. If you take half a spoon of desi ghee before eating, it acts as lubrication in the stomach and prevents excessive acid formation. But remember, ghee should be pure.
Small change in eating habits:
Not just prescriptions, change some habits too. Stay away from excessive chillies, pickles and tea and coffee. Ayurveda says that “Chew your food thoroughly and eat with a happy heart.”Half the acidity will be gone anyway.
