Is the natural glow of the face being snatched away at an early age? It is very easy to get relief from acne and aging, just change these 5 daily habits.

Skin problems which once appeared after the age of 30 or 40, are today clearly visible on the faces of youth aged between 16 to 25 years. Be it college-going youth or young people just starting their career, every second person is struggling with stubborn pimples, dark spots, dark circles under the eyes and premature sagging of the skin. Many youth consider it to be just an effect of dust, soil or weather and start trying various chemical-containing products, due to which instead of solving the problem, it becomes more serious. In fact, modern lifestyle has completely disrupted the biological clock of youth and the natural protective cycle of the skin. Constantly staying awake till late night, stress, excessive consumption of junk food and blue light emanating from mobile and laptop screens are breaking the collagen of the skin at an early age. Dermatologists believe that if correct lifestyle and basic skin care discipline are not adopted in time, this problem can take the form of chronic skin diseases in future.

There are many factors involved in damaging the skin of youth, which we do not pay attention to in everyday life:

  1. hormonal imbalance: During puberty and early 20s, the levels of androgen hormones in the body change rapidly. Due to this, the sebaceous glands start producing excessive sebum i.e. oil, due to which the pores get clogged and acne starts appearing due to bacterial infection.

  2. Excessive and wrong use of cosmetics: Seeing the trends of social media, youth start applying many types of serums, toners and exfoliating acids on their face without understanding their skin type. Due to this over-care, the skin’s natural moisture barrier gets broken, which increases redness and irritation.

  3. Ultraviolet Rays and Blue Light: Going out in the sun without sunscreen causes harmful UV rays to destroy the melanin and elastin of the skin. At the same time, using the phone till late night weakens the delicate nerves around the eyes and pigmentation increases rapidly.

  4. High-Glycemic Diet: Pizza, burgers, packaged chips, cold drinks with extra sugar and fried foods cause inflammation in the body. Excessive consumption of sugar triggers the glycation process, which causes premature aging of the skin.

There is no need for any complicated or ten-step Korean routine to keep the skin healthy and glowing at a young age. All that is needed is a regular and balanced basic rule, called CTM-S:

  • C – Cleansing: Twice a day—in the morning and before going to bed—wash your face with a gentle, sulfate-free face wash. If skin is oily, choose a salicylic acid or neem based cleanser. If skin is dry, use a gentle gel-based cleanser. Do not forget to wash your face with soap again and again.

  • T – Toning: After face wash, spritz an alcohol-free toner or pure rose water to reset the skin’s pH level. It tightens the pores and keeps the skin hydrated.

  • M – Moisturizing: Many youngsters think that moisturizer should not be applied on oily skin, which is completely wrong. When the skin does not get moisture, it produces more oil to protect itself. Therefore, always apply lightweight, oil-free and gel based moisturizer.

  • S – Sunscreen: Whether you’re indoors or outdoors during the day, never forget to apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 or SPF 50. Sunscreen is the shield that completely protects the skin from pigmentation, tanning and pre-mature aging.

Traditional and natural medicines present in the kitchen prove to be the safest for the sensitive skin of youth.

  1. Multani mitti and neem paste: If there is a lot of pimples and oiliness on the face, then apply a paste of multani mitti mixed with neem powder and rose water once a week. It absorbs excess oil and deeply cleanses the pores.

  2. Raw milk and turmeric: For dry or dull skin, mix a pinch of musk turmeric in raw milk and apply it on the face with cotton and wash after 10 minutes. The lactic acid present in it gently removes dead skin and brings natural glow.

  3. Coolness of Aloe Vera Gel: After cleansing your face at night, massage lightly with fresh aloe vera gel. It has anti-inflammatory properties, which soothe the inflammation of acne and help in lightening the blemishes.

Just applying creams externally cannot bring glow on the face; The real glow comes from cleansing the stomach and blood.

  1. Drink at least two and a half to three liters of water daily so that all the toxins can come out of the body through urine and sweat.

  2. Include seasonal fruits like orange, papaya, amla and green leafy vegetables in your diet, which are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants.

  3. Take at least 7 to 8 hours of deep sleep at night because skin cells repair themselves during sleep.

  4. To reduce stress, do yoga, pranayam or any physical exercise for 15-20 minutes daily, which increases blood circulation to the face. Instead of taking too much stress regarding the skin at an early age or experimenting with new things again and again, if you make these simple and disciplined rules your daily habit, then not only will the existing problems go away but your skin will always remain fresh, spotless and naturally glowing.
