Haryana Assembly Election Result 2024: Seeing the results of Haryana Assembly elections, Congress has got a big shock. Congress is trying to return to power after 10 years, not only from the exit polls but within hours of counting it was expected to win, however, soon the tables turned and the way was cleared for BJP to form the government. And victory was achieved. The trick of victory seems to be working.

Power seems to be going into the hands of Congress

According to the Election Commission website, out of total 90 assembly seats in Haryana, the ruling BJP is leading in 51 seats. While Congress is leading on 34 seats, INLD on one, BSP on one and other parties are leading on 4 seats. However, Congress made a lot of efforts to regain its lost strength. But internal factionalism is being said to be the main reason behind dashing Congress's hopes.

Political conflict between two camps of Haryana Congress

Kiran Chaudhary, head of one of the four popular internal camps of the Haryana Congress, left the Congress and joined the BJP before the elections. Along with this, Bhupendra Singh Hooda's group remained dominant in the entire election from beginning to end. Randeep Singh Surjewala camp remained silent to a large extent. During the elections, the camp of Sirsa Lok Sabha MP Kumari Selja maintained distance from Hooda. Therefore, Shailaja factor is also being pointed towards the defeat of Congress.

Insulting Kumari Shailja with Dalit card!

BJP played the Dalit card from the very beginning when Congress insulted Kumari Selja during Haryana elections. Since senior women leaders and Dalit community leaders in the Congress were not given tickets despite their wishes, their close relatives were also not given tickets, the party leader's clarification on the derogatory statement was delayed and there was no discussion on it. BJP has raised the issue of the growing bitterness between Hooda and Selja not reducing when it was the Chief Minister.

BJP invited Kumari Shailja.

Former Chief Minister of Haryana and current Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar also invited Kumari Selja to join BJP in an open forum. It took a long time for Congress to deal with this. Shailja rarely went out for campaigning. Ultimately, Congress, which played the Dalit card through Kumari Shailja in the Lok Sabha elections, had to suffer a huge loss in the Assembly elections due to the Kumari Shailja factor.

Dalit voters are at second position in Haryana

If we look at the gender equation in Haryana, Dalit vote is second in numerical strength. In terms of population, after Jats, the highest number of voters are Dalits with 21 percent. 17 seats in the state are reserved for Dalits. Also, Dalit voters have a significant influence on 35 seats. The Congress alliance got 68 percent Dalit votes in the Lok Sabha elections. BJP got only 24 percent Dalit votes.

BJP made Congress's deal with Shailja an issue

The BJP ran an aggressive political campaign with a counter-narrative of the Congress not respecting its Dalit and women leaders and constantly insulting them on issues like the Constitution and democracy. After the election results, it can be said that the Shailaja factor took the Dalit vote bank away from the Congress in Haryana. Along with this, Jat voters, who were considered the main vote of Bhupendra Singh Hooda, were also confused on the political issue that if Congress wins, then who will become the Chief Minister.
