This increases the flow of positive energy.

However, many people consider burning incense in puja as inauspicious. This is because burning bamboo or anything made of bamboo is prohibited in the scriptures. Vas is used only in meaning. If bamboo is used to make incense sticks then it is inauspicious. If the incense stick is not made of bamboo then there is no harm in doing so.
