Tirupati Laddoo Controversy: The politics of the state has heated up after the allegations made by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu regarding the Prasad of Lord Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh. CM Naidu believes that in the previous government, animal fat was used in making laddus for Lord Tirupati's Prasad. The TDP leader said that according to the lab report, animal fat and fish oil have been found in the ghee used in making the Prasad.
What was found in the investigation report of NDDB Gujarat?
TDP spokesperson Anam Venkat Raman Reddy reacted to the use of animal fat and fish oil in the prasad. He said, Chandrababu Naidu had said that animal fat is used in making ghee. The report of the samples sent to the National Dairy Development Board in Gujarat for testing confirmed that animal fat and fish oil were used in preparing the ghee. This is an insult to Hinduism. This ghee is used in the prasad offered to God three times a day. We hope that justice will be done and God will forgive us.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has reacted to CM Chandrababu Naidu's allegations. They called it a serious matter and demanded strict action against those involved. However, Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSRCP rejected the allegations. Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee President YS Sharmila demanded a CBI inquiry. She said that CM Naidu's statement has hurt the sentiments of crores of Hindus.
VHP national spokesperson Vinod Bansal said, “Everyone knows about the anti-Hindu acts and misdeeds of the previous YSRCP government in Andhra Pradesh, but nobody expected it to go to this level.” This is a very serious issue, which has been raised by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Whoever has mixed animal fat in Tirupati Laddu Prasadam should be punished.
Chandrababu Naidu claimed
At the NDA Legislature Party meeting in Amaravati, Chandrababu Naidu claimed that Tirumala Laddu was also made from substandard material. They used to use animal fat instead of ghee. He further said that now pure ghee is used and everything in the temple has been sanitized.
YS Sharmila demanded a CBI inquiry
Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee President YS Sharmila reacted to these allegations of the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister. She said that a high-level committee should be formed immediately or the CBI should be asked to investigate whether animal fat was used instead of ghee. Senior YSRCP leader and Rajya Sabha MP YV Subba Reddy said that Naidu's allegations have hurt the sentiments of the devotees.
Subba Reddy said, “It is unbelievable to say that animal fat was used in the offerings made to the Lord and given to the devotees. I believe in Venkateswara Swamy and you are also his devotee. So come and take oath in front of him. I am ready to take oath against him. I am ready to take oath with my family.”
Earlier, senior YSRCP leader B Karunakara Reddy said Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu made these allegations only to gain political mileage.
