The war between Israel and Hamas has been going on for more than six months, during which Iran has attacked Israel. So another war has started in the Middle East. After the attack on its embassy in Syria, Iran has retaliated by attacking Israel with about 200 drones and missiles. Iran has said that it has carried out this attack with the aim of targeting some specific targets. During the attack, America and Britain also shot down several Iranian drones.
Amidst all this, Israel has held an emergency meeting. An Israeli government spokesman said Israel's response to the Iranian attack would be clear and decisive. Meanwhile, Israel has said it is closing its airspace to all flights due to the possibility of an Iranian drone attack.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has spoken to US President Joe Biden after discussing the security cabinet. He has said that America is committed to the security of Israel. Sunak said- Iran is moving towards anarchy
British PM Rishi Sunak has issued a statement on the Iranian drone attack on Israel, saying that he strongly condemns this attack by Iran. He said, 'I strongly condemn the Iranian government's reckless attack against Israel. These attacks threaten to increase tension and instability in the region. Iran has once again shown that it is bent on spreading anarchy.
“Britain will continue to stand up for the security of all our regional partners, including Israel, Jordan and Iraq,” he said. Together with our partners, we are taking immediate steps to bring the situation under control and prevent it from worsening. No one wants to see more bloodshed than this.
Britain sent many fighter planes and tankers
After Iran shot down drones in Israel, Britain sent several additional Royal Air Force jets and aerial refueling tankers to the region (Middle-East). It said the fighter aircraft would intercept air strikes within Britain's current mission range.
'In response to growing Iranian threats and the risk of escalating tensions in the Middle East, the UK government is working with partners across the region to encourage de-escalation and prevent further attacks,' the statement said. Royal Air Force jets and air refueling tankers will support Operation Shadder in the region, supporting UK warplanes in Iraq and Syria as well as interdicting air strikes.
Important statement of United Nations
United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres said that I strongly condemn Iran's attack on Israel. I call for an immediate end to this hostilities. Neither the region nor the world can afford another war.
What did Khomeini say?
Following Iran's attack on the Syrian embassy, Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said Israel should be 'punished'. He said, 'Israel has added another mistake to its mistakes by attacking the Iranian Consulate in Syria. Any country which has Consulates and Embassies is considered to be the soil of that country. Attacking our Consulate is like attacking our soil. This is a common thing all over the world. Israel has taken a very wrong step in this matter. He must be punished, and will be punished.
