Iran vs Afghanistan News: More than 250 Afghan civilians have been killed in firing by Iranian border guards on the Afghanistan border. The Iranian Human Rights Organization claimed that the incident occurred as a result of Iran's use of force when Afghan refugees were entering Iran's border. A human rights group has shared a video showing the bodies of victims they say are refugees killed at the border.

The total number of tourists who crossed the border was around 300, of whom only 50 survived. The rest became victims of the attack. The report comes amid allegations of harassment, torture and ill-treatment of Afghan refugees by Iranian forces. Hamdullah Fitrat, the Taliban's deputy spokesman in Kabul, said “various government agencies” and Afghan diplomatic missions had launched a “thorough investigation” to verify the reports. The exact number of casualties in the firing is not clear. A large number of Afghan refugees live in Iran and their situation is very serious. Afghan refugees in Iran face human and fundamental rights violations. Meanwhile, Iran's presidential special envoy and ambassador to Kabul, Hassan Kazemi Qomi, strongly denied these reports.
