IPL 2024: Andre Russell and Heinrich Klaasen made 8 records in KKR-SRH match

IPL 2024, KKR vs SRH: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by four runs in a thrilling match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. In this match played at Eden Gardens yesterday, KKR gave SRH a target of 209 runs to win, against which Hyderabad team was successful in scoring 204 runs for 7 wickets.

Heinrich Klaasen scored 63 runs on 29 balls for Sunrisers Hyderabad. But he could not make his team win. In this match, Andre Russell performed brilliantly with bat and ball for KKR. Andre Russell scored unbeaten 63 runs in 25 balls which included three fours and seven sixes.

During this innings, Russell completed 200 sixes in his IPL career. Russell is the ninth player to achieve this feat. However, Russell has hit 200 sixes in the least number of IPL innings. He has left behind legendary players like Chris Gayle, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Later, Russell also took two wickets while bowling. Not only this, Klaasen has become the batsman to hit the most sixes without hitting any four in any innings of IPL. Klaasen hit 8 sixes in his innings but he did not hit a single four in this match.
