Apple launched the iPhone 16 series at its Glowtime event held in Cupertino, California, US on September 12. In this series, Apple launched four iPhone 16 phones, which include iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro max.
Although Apple has publicly announced at its It's Glowtime event that the iPhone 16 has all the same features, that is not the case. Because according to the law in different countries of the world, Apple has to change its iPhones, due to which China and Japan get different iPhones from the rest of the world.
e-SIM is not supported in Hong Kong, China and Macau
iPhones available in Hong Kong, Macau and China have dual SIM support. The only iPhone available in the world comes with two SIM slots instead of one. However, it does not have e-SIM support. But this iPhone is not suitable for users who travel a lot, especially internationally. Because phone numbers in China are limited to the local area only. Therefore, when you change your location, you will have to buy a new SIM card. Whereas in India, one physical SIM and one e-SIM can be used in iPhone.
No physical SIM support in the US
Unlike iPhones found in China and Hong Kong, iPhones found in the US do not have a physical SIM slot. After iPhone 14, only e-SIM is being used in America. The iPhone is the only phone in the US that supports the advanced version of 5G.
It is mandatory in Japan
Apple mobiles in Japan do not have a setting to turn off camera sound. Here it is mandatory to keep the shutter sound of the camera on while taking pictures. This is done because in Japan, taking photos of someone without their consent is not considered a good thing. You can turn off iPhone camera sound anywhere in the world except Japan.
A third-party app store found on iPhones in Europe
Apple phones have an app store to download any app. But in European countries, iPhone also has a third party app store in addition to Apple's app store. European Union includes countries including France, Germany, Spain, Italy. However, this change is not in hardware but in software. If you take an iPhone purchased from Europe out of Europe, you will not be able to use third-party app stores again. It is connected to the App Store server.
