Inter-state vehicle theft gang busted, two thieves arrested, 12 bikes recovered

Haridwar, July 13 (HS). Police has busted an interstate vehicle theft gang and arrested two clever thieves. Police has recovered 12 stolen bikes on their information. Police has also recovered bike parts. 8 cases are registered against these arrested people in UP and Uttarakhand.

In the district's police station Jhabreda, Raju resident Behdeki Saidabad, police station Jhabreda, Haridwar had lodged a case by giving a complaint to the police regarding the theft of his Splendor motorcycle from village Behdeki Saidabad. Ajay resident Todha Kalyanpur Roorkee had also lodged a case against unknown persons by giving a complaint regarding the theft of his Hero Splendor Plus motorcycle from Jhabreda town on July 08 and Gulshan resident village Hashyampur post Jhabreda had lodged a case against unknown persons by giving a complaint regarding the theft of his motorcycle Hero Splendor Plus from Jhabreda town on July 07. The incidents of bike theft one after the other increased the difficulties of the police. For the recovery of the bikes being continuously stolen in the Jhabreda area, SSP Pramod Singh Dobal gave strict instructions to Superintendent of Police Rural Swapan Kishore Singh and Area Magistrate Mangalore Vivek Kumar for the disclosure of the incidents of theft and formed police teams.

The constituted police team checked the footage of more than 200 CCTV cameras and got clues that all the three stolen bikes were stolen by members of the same gang. The police activated the informer system. During checking, 02 bike riders were arrested with the stolen bike UK 08 AD 7179. During interrogation, B.Sc Agriculture pass accused Kuldeep Saini, resident of village Ambehti, police station Nakur, district Saharanpur, confessed to stealing 09 motorcycles from Gautam Buddha Nagar, Ghaziabad, Saharanpur, Kotwali Nagar Haridwar and 03 bikes from Jhabreda area in connivance with eighth pass co-accused Jishan, resident of Nai Mandi town Jhabreda, district Haridwar. Police recovered 10 stolen motorcycles and engine and petrol tank of 01 motorcycle at the place indicated by the accused.

During interrogation, the accused told that after stealing the bikes, they used to remove their parts and sell them at cheap prices. In relation to the recovered bikes, 03 cases have been registered in Police Station Surajpur district Gautam Buddha Nagar, 01 in Police Station Gangoh Saharanpur UP, 01 in Kotwali Nagar Haridwar and 03 in Police Station Jhabreda, thus a total of 08 cases have been registered. Police has registered a case against both the accused and challaned them.
