Inter-state smuggler arrested, cases registered in many districts of Rajasthan and Haryana


Chittorgarh, July 4 (HS1). The accused who had absconded from the spot in the case of doda chura caught in a blockade two months ago has been arrested by the Kotwali Nimbahera police station. The accused has been found involved in more than half a dozen smuggling cases in many districts of Haryana including Chittorgarh. The police is busy interrogating the accused.

Superintendent of Police Sudhir Joshi said that on May 11, Sadar Nimbahera police seized 89 kg 400 grams of illegal doda chura from a car during a blockade. The driver fled from the spot. The investigation in the case was entrusted to Kotwali Nimbahera CI Ramsumer. The accused in the case, interstate doda chura smuggler Sunil son Shivlal Ved Payak, resident of Lasdavan police station Sadar Nimbahera, was searched. The team received information that the wanted accused Sunil Vaid would go to Jodhpur to meet his lawyer in Jodhpur High Court. On this, the police team detained and arrested the accused from under the flyover highway road outside Jodhpur High Court. The accused was produced in the court and police remand was obtained. Investigation is going on in connection with doda chura in this case. According to police information, cases registered against accused Sunil Vaid under NDPS Act in more than half a dozen districts of Haryana including Fatehabad, Rewari, Hisar, are pending in the court.
