Dhamtari, April 20 (HS). Every possible effort is being made by the district administration to conduct the Lok Sabha elections in a peaceful and orderly manner. Under this, the police is carrying out intensive checking of vehicles passing through the borders of Dhamtari district.
Voting is to be held in the district on April 26 under the Lok Sabha elections. Extensive preparations have been made at the administration level to ensure that the voting is conducted peacefully. Apart from this, the country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also arriving in Dhamtari district on 23 April. In view of this, intensive checking of vehicles is being done in the borders of Dhamtari district, so that no untoward situation is created. Checking of vehicles is going on on the highway side in Nagari, Kurud, Magarlo of Dhamtari district. Bhakhara police on the border of village Silghat Durg district, the last end of Bhakhara police station under Dhamtari district – people entering Dhamtari district from Durg district by setting up a check post.
And the Bhakhara police are keeping a vigil night and day by setting up tents on the banks of Kharun river and guarding the four-wheeler and two-wheeler vehicles entering Durg district from Dhamtari district. After searching and videography of the pedestrians and taking information like name, address, vehicle number, the vehicles are being allowed to move ahead. Police station in-charge Lekhram Thakur said that vehicles are being checked by setting up a check post on the border of village Silghat, Durg district under Bhakhara police station area. Checkpost has been installed at only one place in Bhakhara police station area. No gold, silver, money, clothes or other suspicious items have been seized so far during the checking. Vigilant investigation is being done during the elections.
