Insult to women and daughters of Brahmin community will not be tolerated: Vineeta Dwivedi

In Chitrakoot, UP, the controversy is deepening over the indecent post made by Dalit leader and District Panchayat member Meera Bharti against the Brahmin community on the social media (Facebook) platform. On Monday, dozens of women from the Brahmin community, under the leadership of senior BJP leaders Vineeta Dwivedi and Mamta Tiwari, protested in front of the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police Chitrakoot office, raising slogans demanding the arrest of Meera Bharti. After this, a memorandum was given to Superintendent of Police Arun Kumar Singh demanding the arrest of District Panchayat member Meera Bharti.

On Monday, dozens of women gathered at Dhanush intersection of the headquarters and took out a procession to the Collectorate, raising slogans against District Panchayat member Meera Bharti. After this the memorandum was submitted to Superintendent of Police Arun Kumar Singh. District General Secretary of BJP Mahila Morcha, Vineeta Dwivedi, who is leading the protest, said that District Panchayat member Meera Bharti has made indecent remarks against the Brahmin community on the Facebook platform of social media to gain cheap popularity. Due to which the entire Brahmin community has been hurt. It is alleged that by making such indecent comments viral on social media platforms, work is being done to disturb the social harmony in the district. Strict action should be taken against such people. Meanwhile, senior BJP leader Mamta Tiwari said that if action is not taken against Meera Bharti who insults Brahmins, then the Brahmin community is not going to remain silent. SP Arun Kumar Singh has assured the protesters of investigating the matter and taking strict action. Dozens of women like Meeta Karwaria, Rachna Pandey, Santoshi Sahu, Rekha Gupta, Hiramani, Sudha Devi, Priyanka Sahu, Geeta, Meena Gupta etc. were present on this occasion.
