Katihar, 23 September (HS). A review meeting of the District Coordination Committee was held in the NIC Sabhagar on Monday under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Manish Kumar Meena. Officials from various departments participated in the meeting.
Apart from the Disaster Department, the District Magistrate reviewed the schemes related to Education, Health, Welfare, Minority, ICDS, Animal Husbandry, PHED, Planning and Development Department, Fisheries, Cooperation, District Supply, District Panchayati Raj, Industry, Animal Husbandry, Sports, Agriculture and NITI Aayog.
Due to the rise in the water level of the Ganga river, the District Magistrate directed the Disaster Department to provide relief material for the flood victims in the respective blocks, ensure medical facilities and ensure the operation of boats keeping safety in mind. Apart from this, the District Magistrate reviewed the progress of projects related to education and health and gave necessary guidelines to the concerned officials. He also gave instructions for land acquisition for building construction at the block level of the Animal Husbandry Department and construction of Panchayat Government Building.
The District Magistrate also directed to establish coordination with NITI Aayog and other related departments. He directed the concerned officials to take necessary action to speed up the developmental plans of the district.
District Education Officer, District Planning Officer, Director DRDA and other District Level Coordination Committee officials were present in the meeting. The purpose of this meeting was to resolve the developmental plans and problems of the district. The District Magistrate directed the concerned officials to take necessary action. He stressed on establishing coordination between the concerned departments for the progress of the district.
It is expected that this meeting will give impetus to the developmental plans of the district. It is also expected that the problems of the district will be resolved by this meeting chaired by the District Officer.
