
Keshav Prasad Maurya has taken serious cognizance of the published news of the death of Smt. Kamlesh Devi’s 20-year-old daughter Bandana due to suffocation due to the collapse of a kutcha house during the rainy season in village Nidhiyawa of Haringtonganj development block of Ayodhya district. Expressing deep grief over this tragic incident, he expressed his condolences to the victim’s family and directed the concerned officials to immediately reach the spot and ensure all possible assistance to the victim’s family.
In accordance with the instructions given by the Deputy Chief Minister on telephone, the Chief Development Officer of Ayodhya district took immediate action and sent Block Development Officer Mr. RN Bharti to village Nidhiyawa. The Block Development Officer reached the spot and met the victim’s family and provided immediate financial assistance to the family. The victim’s family was assured by the officials that the approval letter and necessary action related to Chief Minister Housing, Widow Pension, Kisan Samman Nidhi and other eligibility based government schemes will be completed and made available soon.
According to the information, Shri Ram Naresh Pal, husband of Mrs. Kamlesh Devi ji, had already passed away. In such a situation, in view of this tragic and sudden calamity that has befallen the family, Honorable Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya, while showing human sensitivity, directed the officials that the victim’s family should not be allowed to face any kind of difficulty and the benefits of all the assistance and welfare schemes allowed by the government should be made available on priority basis. The officers of the Rural Development Department were directed to immediately reach the village and meet the victim’s family, get information about their needs and provide immediate financial assistance as per the rules. He also gave instructions to immediately ensure the approval of house for Mrs. Kamlesh Devi ji under the Chief Minister Housing Scheme, so that safe and respectable accommodation can be provided to the family.
Shri Maurya ji also instructed the concerned officials that the benefits of widow pension, Kisan Samman Nidhi and all other public welfare schemes should be immediately made available to Mrs. Kamlesh Devi ji on the basis of eligibility. Along with this, instructions were given to provide immediate financial assistance to the family and to benefit from all the facilities and schemes allowed to the eligible residents of rural areas by the Double Engine Government. Keshav Prasad Maurya has given clear instructions that there should not be any negligence at any level in extending the benefits of public welfare schemes of the state government to the eligible and needy families. Especially the officers should work with sensitivity and promptness in helping the families affected by natural disaster or sudden accident. Serving the public and helping needy families are the top priorities of the double engine government. It is the resolution of the government that no poor, deprived or needy family of the state should be left alone in adverse circumstances and all possible government assistance should be provided to them.
