Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh is in the headlines these days for his Dil-Luminati tour. Along with this, the Child Rights Protection Commission has issued an advisory before Diljit’s concert in Chandigarh on 14th December. The Commission has directed the event organizers and Diljit not to sing songs promoting alcohol, violence and weapons. Also, instructions have been given not to invite small children on the stage.
The Commission has instructed Diljit Dosanjh to refrain from singing songs like Patiala Peg, 5 Tara, Case etc. These songs influence children of sensitive ages. The organizers have been clearly told not to serve liquor to youth below 25 years of age. Along with this, the Commission has advised not to call children on stage during live shows.
Let us tell you that earlier, Assistant Professor Panditrao of Chandigarh had given a complaint against singer Diljit Dusanjh to the Telangana government. On which the District Child Welfare Officer, Telangana also issued a notice not to call children on stage and not to sing songs promoting alcohol, drugs and violence. After the notice, singer Diljit Dusanjh did not call the children on stage.
