Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya ji directed the officers that * In view of the changing weather, there should be no negligence in the basic facilities at the workplaces. * There should be mandatory availability of clean and adequate drinking water at all the workplaces. Along with this, in view of the ongoing scorching heat and the upcoming rainy season, adequate arrangements should be made for sheds (shady places) and other protective means to protect the workers from the harsh weather, so that the health of any worker is not adversely affected.
He directed that *wherever there are 5 or more children below the age of 5 years, a dedicated woman will be appointed for their proper care and safety. This woman will be ensured timely payment for her work as per the prescribed wage rate.* While on one hand this will provide relief to working mothers, on the other hand another woman will also get employment opportunity.
Reiterating the basic mantra of the government, the Deputy Chief Minister said that “The double engine government has only one dream, every laborer should be safe.” He said that *Under the double engine government led by respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, workers of all categories are being connected to the mainstream of development.* To bring transparency in the development works and strictly follow the rules, officials have also been instructed to go to the ground and conduct regular inspections.
