Indore, 30 September (HS). PM Swanidhi Yojana is being effectively implemented in Indore. Indore ranks second in the entire country in the implementation of this scheme. Under this scheme, till now more than one lakh 43 thousand street vendors have been benefited by Indore Municipal Corporation. This information was given in the meeting of the district level advisory committee of bankers and officials of government departments held here on Monday under the chairmanship of regional MP Shankar Lalwani. Additional Collector Jyoti Sharma, District Leading Bank Manager Sunil Dhaka, Reserve Bank Manager Roshni Hajela and officials of other concerned departments were present in the meeting.
In the meeting, the progress of various beneficiary and self-employment oriented schemes implemented in Indore district was reviewed. During the review, MP Shankar Lalwani said that effective implementation of self-employment oriented schemes should be ensured. The targets achieved under these schemes should be completed within the stipulated time frame. By effectively implementing the schemes, more and more youth, especially women, should be involved in employment-oriented activities. He said that employment oriented training should also be given to women.
Lalwani said that loans should be provided on priority to entrepreneurs wishing to set up micro industries. Such arrangements should be ensured so that they do not face any kind of problem. It was told in the meeting that PM Swanidhi Yojana is being effectively implemented in Indore city. Since the implementation of the scheme in Indore, financial assistance has been provided to more than 1 lakh 43 thousand street vendors. Lalwani directed that all the street vendors benefited under the scheme should be insured under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and PM Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana. No eligible person was deprived of this insurance scheme.
He directed the bankers to extend full cooperation to the youth and other citizens coming for loans. Also give them information about the schemes and get the application approved immediately. He also gave instructions to benefit as many eligible persons as possible in the beneficiary and self-employment oriented schemes implemented by other departments. In the meeting, the progress of Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme, Chief Minister Udyam Kranti Yojana, Bhagwan Birsa Munda Self-Employment Scheme, Sant Ravidas Self-Employment Scheme, Madhya Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission etc. was also reviewed.
