The volcano erupted for the sixth time in 14 days. The volcano erupted one each on 16 and 30 April, four on 17 April and at 9.45 pm on 16 April. According to the information, there were four volcanic eruptions on Mount Ruang on April 17. Due to this, lava and ash spread thousands of feet above. Before this, in the year 1871, the biggest ever volcanic eruption had taken place in Indonesia.

Indonesia's Natural Disaster Center is on alert mode. According to disaster management officials, two earthquakes occurred near Mount Ruang recently. Hence the tectonic plates became unstable. According to the information, an Indonesian organization has declared a level four warning in view of the danger of the volcano.

Apart from this, a ban has been ordered in an area of ​​six kilometers near the volcano. According to the Geological Agency of Indonesia, after the eruption of Ruang volcano, a cloud of ash rose up to two kilometers into the sky. After the second explosion this height increased to two and a half kilometers.
