Indigo's fourth quarter profit increased by 106 percent to Rs 1,895 crore.

New Delhi, May 23 (HS). InterGlobe Aviation, the parent company of IndiGo, the country's largest private sector airline, has announced the results for the fourth quarter of the financial year 2023-24. In the fourth quarter (January-March) ending March 31, 2024, the company's profit increased by 106 percent to Rs 1,894.8 crore.

The company told the stock market on Thursday that its profit has more than doubled to Rs 1,894.8 crore in the January-March quarter of the financial year 2023-24 ending March 31, 2024. Due to this, the airline had made a net profit of Rs 919.2 crore in the same quarter of the last financial year. The company's total income increased to Rs 18,505.1 crore from Rs 14,600.1 crore in the fourth quarter of FY 2022-23.

According to IndiGo, the company's revenue from operations increased by 26 percent year-on-year to Rs 17,825 crore in the January-March quarter. The company's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Peter Albers said that strong execution of our strategy has led to consistent results. He said IndiGo will introduce 'business class' service on its flights this year.
