Rakshanda Rashid Case: India's retaliation on Pakistani court's decision, security became the biggest concern
Rakshanda Rashid Case: India’s retaliation on Pakistani court’s decision, security became the biggest concern

News India Live, Digital Desk: Rakshanda Rashid Case: A very shocking news related to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir has come out. Somewhere a woman from Pakistan is joining this attack – Rakshanda Rashid. This case has now become a major issue between the courts and governments of India and Pakistan, especially for the security of the country.

Who is Rakshanda Rashid and India have problems with him,

Rakshanda Rashid is a Pakistani citizen, who has serious allegations of espionage. Actually, the story began a few years ago when Rakshanda was involved in ‘Love Affair’ with an intelligence officer of India. It is alleged that during this time he gave many sensitive information related to India to Pakistan and worked as a ‘double agent’. He was later arrested in Pakistan and kept in jail.

Now a Pakistan court has released him from jail and has ordered a shocking order that Rakshanda Rashid should be sent back to India (especially Jammu and Kashmir). This order has come at a time when a major terrorist attack has taken place in Pahalgam.

Why is MHA against this decision?

The Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of India (MHA) is very angry with this order of the Pakistan court and has raised strong objection to it. MHA clearly says that:

  1. National Security Question: Rakshanda Rashid is a Pakistani citizen and he is accused of espionage. Let such a person come back to India can be a big threat to the security of the country.

  2. No compulsion on India: India is not legally obliged to obey the order of any court in Pakistan. It is a matter of sovereignty and internal affairs of India.

  3. The judiciary interfered with the executive: MHA has emphasized that it is the government (executive) work to decide on matters like security and citizenship, not the courts (judiciary). The Ministry of Home Affairs said that the judiciary should not interfere in the executive decisions, especially when it comes to security of the country.

In fact, MHA suspects that Rakshanda is being deliberately sent back to India so that he can come here and do something wrong again or become a part of a terrorist conspiracy. This case shows how cautious the government is in sensitive matters related to the security of the country and is not ready to bow down to any external pressure or order.
