India's illegal occupation of Junagadh: Look at Pakistan's audacity, it spewed venom again | News India

Pakistan on Junagadh: Pakistan, which is living in poverty, cannot give up its habit. After Kashmir, once again Pakistan has poisoned Junagadh. Pakistan has made a big allegation on India and said, 'India has illegally occupied Junagadh.'

India violated UNSC resolution: Pakistan

Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said in a media interview, 'Junagadh in Gujarat was occupied by India in 1948. India has illegal occupation of this princely state and Pakistan's policy regarding this has been clear from the beginning. Junagadh was merged with India. The country looks at this matter from a historical and legal point of view. Junagadh was a part of Pakistan and India has illegally occupied it in violation of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolution.

India's illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir

Regarding Jammu and Kashmir, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that Pakistan has always raised the issue of Junagadh on political and diplomatic platforms. Pakistan considers the Junagadh issue as an unfinished agenda like the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). Pakistan did not stop here. Pakistan sought a peaceful solution to the Kashmir issue through the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolution. It also expressed solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said, 'The future of Jammu and Kashmir will be decided according to the resolution of the United Nations Security Council and the wishes of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The steps taken by India in 2019 are a violation of the United Nations Security Council. 'India should cancel the decision taken on 5 August 2019.'

Earlier, Pakistan had also shown Junagadh in its map

It is worth noting that Pakistan has made false claims about Junagadh earlier as well. In the year 2020, the then Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan had announced a new political map, after which India also gave a shocking reaction. Pakistan claimed Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and Junagadh was also included in it.
