Pakistan on Indian missiles: India's ever-increasing defense capabilities are being developed. India has surprised the world with its indigenous weapons. Missiles made in India are also being given a lot of importance in the world. India currently has several indigenously developed intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs), which can target parts of Asia and Europe.
Recently, defense expert Professor Zafar Nawaz Jaspal of the School of Politics and International Relations of Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan has made a big claim regarding this. He said, 'India is working on developing a new missile system 'Surya' ICBM, which can also target many western countries like America and Britain.
What will be the range of Surya missile?
Professor Jaspal said that the range of this Surya ICBM can be 10,000 to 12,000 km, which clearly means that India's missile capability can now reach America. He also said that the development of such missiles should be a matter of concern not for Pakistan but for America, Europe and Russia. Because, India already has many missiles available which can target any part of Pakistan.
What did India say on Surya missile?
On the other hand, India's Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has completely denied working on any such 'Surya ICBM' project. DRDO officials have already made it clear that India's focus is on increasing its defense capability, which is in accordance with the strategic needs. However, there was no mention of any new intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs).
Currently India has many missiles available
India currently has the most advanced missile, Agni-V, which has a range of about 5,500 to 6,000 km. Due to this range, Agni-V has the capability to target entire Asia and many parts of Europe. The Agni-V project has been developed keeping in mind the enhancement of India's defense capabilities and its strategic preparedness, especially against China.
