India’s big warning amidst Israel-Iran tension, an outstanding travel advisory issued to its citizens

In view of the increasing tension between Israel and Iran in the Middle East, the Government of India has taken an important and immediate step. The Ministry of External Affairs has issued a travel advisory keeping the security of Indian citizens paramount.

In this advisory, Indian citizens have been clearly stated not to travel to Iran and Israel till further orders. In view of the seriousness of the situation, this decision has been taken so that no Indian has to face the risk there.

What are the instructions for those who are already there?

The government has not only banned the new journey, but has also issued special instructions for Indian citizens who are already living in Iran or Israel.

• Take care: They have been asked to be very careful and be cautious about their safety.

• Avoid non-essential travel: They are advised to keep their activities minimized and avoid unnecessarily exit.

• Register in the embassy: Most importantly, they are requested to immediately register themselves at the Indian Embassy in Tehran (Iran) or Tel Aviv (Israel). This will make it easier to help them in emergency.

Emergency helpline number released

The Indian Embassy has also issued helpline numbers for any emergency, so that Indian citizens trapped there can seek help if needed. The government is closely monitoring the entire situation and is taking every possible step to ensure the safety of its people.
