Rajya Sabha member Sudhanshu Trivedi said this on behalf of India in the UN. He targeted Pakistan's false propaganda regarding Jammu and Kashmir and said that the neighboring country cannot change the facts through its actions. The people of Jammu and Kashmir have recently exercised their democratic and electoral right and elected a new government. Pakistan should desist from its lies as it will not change the facts.
In fact, amid the ongoing discussion regarding peacekeeping missions in the UN General Assembly, Pakistan once again raised the issue of Jammu and Kashmir. In response to the comments made by Pakistan, India used the option of ROR (Right of Reply), saying that Pakistan has tried to divert the agenda unnecessarily. The Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir was, is and will remain an integral part of India. Rajya Sabha MP Trivedi said that this democratic change in Jammu and Kashmir has been possible only because of the strong foreign policy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which shows a tough and acceptable image of India on the international stage.
