Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar inaugurated a three-day international seminar on “Rishi Tradition in Modern Life” at Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Divyang Rajya Vishwavidyalaya in Chitrakoot on Saturday. On this occasion, the Vice President said that India is a country of Rishi Tradition. This is the reason why Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working to take this tradition forward. He said that a war can never be won with weapons. Our country has stood in the category of Vishwaguru today because of the Rishi Tradition.

The Vice President said that today the opposition is ignoring the Rishi tradition of the country due to their political interests, which does not seem right in any way. It is on the strength of the Rishi tradition that India is progressing in every field, be it water, land or sky. The tradition of our country has been Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. He said that war is not the solution to any problem. Even today, if you look around, the Rishi tradition is respected only in our country. India, a country rich in cultural heritage, has always been incomparable. It is the need of the hour to follow the basic principles of the Rishi tradition.

He said that this seminar organised at Lord Ram's Tapobhoomi Chitrakoot will definitely prove to be a new direction for all of us. Because this seminar is being organised in the presence of a great sage Padma Vibhushan decorated Jagadguru Swami Rambhadracharya Maharaj Ji. The Vice President also invited Jagadguru Rambhadracharya to stay for a day at the newly built Vice President's House in Delhi. He said that when someone invites a wise saint to his place, he has to come with his wife. Following the same tradition, he has come here with his wife today.

Jagadguru Rambhadracharya, who was presiding over the program, said that President Draupadi Murmu considers him as her elder brother, while Prime Minister Modi is her friend and Vice President Dhankhar is her brother. Many prominent people including Jagadguru's successor Acharya Ramchandra Das Maharaj, state government ministers Nand Gopal Gupta, Narendra Kashyap and Anil Rajbhar, Vice Chancellor Prof Shishir Kumar Pandey were present in the program.
