Joginder Sharma has turned 41 today i.e. on 23 October. He was born in 1983 in Rohtak district of Haryana. Joginder Sharma is the same player who bowled the last over in the final match of T20 World Cup 2007 and led Team India to victory.

Joginder Sharma's international career started in the year 2004. But his career was full of ups and downs. He rarely got a chance to play cricket for the country. The international careers of both Dhoni and Joginder started on the same day. Both of them made their debut in the year 2004 against Bangladesh. But after this series he could not make his place for 3 years. After this, in the year 2007, he returned to Team India and also managed to make a place in the T20 World Cup 2007.
Joginder Sharma made his T20 debut during the T20 World Cup 2007. He got to play a total of 4 matches in this tournament, which also includes the final match played against Pakistan. He took 2 wickets for 37 runs in three overs against Australia in the semi-finals. After which, in the final match against Pakistan, Dhoni gave a big responsibility to Joginder and gave him a chance to bowl the last over of the match. This over made him famous all over India.

Joginder Sharma saved Team India by giving 13 runs in the last over of the final match. He ended Pakistan's hopes of winning the World Cup by dismissing Misbah-ul-Haq on the fourth ball of the over. This over changed his life. Joginder Sharma was being discussed everywhere in India, but the surprising thing is that after this match, he did not get a chance to play for Team India again.
Seriously injured in car accident
After not getting a place in Team India, Joginder Sharma continued playing domestic cricket. But in the year 2011, Joginder Sharma met with an accident. This accident happened in West Delhi when his car collided with a call centre. He suffered serious head injuries in the accident and remained in ICU for a long time. He returned to the field after a long period of bed rest. But after this he took a big decision and left cricket to become DSP. Actually, after winning the T20 World Cup, the Haryana government had appointed Joginder Sharma to the post of DSP in Haryana Police. He is currently serving the country as DSP.

Joginder has played only 4 ODIs and 4 T20 matches for India. He took 5 wickets in these matches. While Joginder was playing for Haryana in domestic cricket. He played 77 first-class matches in his domestic career and took 297 wickets with 2804 runs. He also has 1040 runs and 115 wickets in his name in 80 List A matches.
