Products rich in nutrients are people's first choice

The survey found that 9 out of 10 people are looking for healthier options even in traditional breakfasts. Specifically, about 60 percent of Indians are now choosing products with healthier ingredients like nuts, seeds and whole grains.

Makhana (foxnuts) and dry fruits have emerged as popular choices in the healthy snacking segment. According to the report, 67 per cent of Indians opt for these nutrient-rich options.

“The growing popularity of makhana in India shows that 59 per cent of people consider it a reliable snack. This is followed by Gen Z (49 per cent) and Gen X (47 per cent), which shows its popularity among all age groups. Moreover, more than 70 per cent declared that their favourite time to snack is with evening tea/coffee.
