Indian youth shot dead in Canada, had gone abroad for higher education

A case of an Indian student being shot inside a car has come to light in the Sunset area of ​​Vancouver, Canada. 24 year old Chirag Antil was a resident of Haryana. The deceased youth had recently completed MBA and had got a work permit. The police have not made any arrest in this case and the investigation is ongoing.

Vancouver Police say that at around 11 pm on April 12, an Indian student was shot dead at East 55th Avenue and Main Street in South Vancouver, Canada, after being informed by his neighbors. Reached the spot.

In the statement given to the police, the neighbors told that they suddenly heard the sound of gunshot outside the house. After this, when they came out, Chirag was lying dead inside the car. Police have investigated the case and started searching for unknown attackers. His family is raising money through the funding platform GoFundMe to bring back Chirag's body.

Chirag's brother Romit Antil, who lives in Haryana, India, said that on the day this unfortunate accident happened, he had also talked to his brother Chirag on phone. Chirag, who moved to Vancouver in September 2022, recently completed his MBA from Canada West University and recently got a work permit.
