Indian Women's Hockey Team completes intense training session at Indian Naval Academy

New Delhi, 22 July (HS). The Indian women's hockey team has successfully completed a unique and intense training session held from 15 to 21 July at the Indian Naval Academy (INA) in Kannur, Kerala. This transformational camp, held in the disciplined environment of INA, was aimed at enhancing the skills of the team and promoting the spirit of unity and resilience.

The camp was carefully designed to inculcate core values ​​such as team building, mental toughness, risk appetite, discipline, self-defense, survival techniques and leadership skills. Participants took part in challenging activities that fostered camaraderie and mutual cooperation and emphasized the importance of teamwork and shared responsibility. Through rigorous physical and mental exercises, team members developed resilience and risk assessment abilities.

Also, the structured routine of the camp enhanced focus and commitment, while practical self-defense and survival techniques equipped individuals with the skills needed for unexpected situations. Leadership qualities were honed through role-playing exercises, decision-making scenarios, and opportunities to lead teams in difficult situations, preparing participants for a variety of life and professional challenges.

Speaking about the camp, Chief Coach of the Indian Women's Hockey Team, Harendra Singh said, “Over the last week, the Indian Naval Academy has opened its doors and provided unmatched training to our Indian Women's Hockey Team. The Academy's dedication to mental strength and team cohesion has transformed these young athletes into more competitive and resilient individuals. Under the guidance of exemplary officers, our players have undergone rigorous training, which will benefit them not only in hockey but in all aspects of their lives. The rigorous practice has pushed them beyond their limits, reinforcing the mental toughness and perseverance required to excel. The skills and discipline they have acquired here are invaluable. This experience has undoubtedly prepared our team to face any challenge on and off the field with renewed confidence and determination.”
