ICC has included three legendary players in the Hall of Fame. South African wicketkeeper-batsman AB de Villiers, former England captain Alastair Cook and India's legendary player Neetu David have also been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Neetu is one of India's most successful female bowlers who has created world records in Test cricket. Neetu is the second Indian female player to receive the ICC honour. Earlier this honor was given to Diana Edulji in 2023. Neetu has played more than 100 matches for India and is the second Indian to take the most wickets in ODI cricket. She became the first Indian bowler to complete 100 wickets in ODIs. Neetu took 41 wickets in 10 Tests and 141 wickets in 97 ODIs. In 1995, Neetu registered a record in Test cricket. He took eight wickets for 53 runs in an innings of the match against England. This is the best bowling figure in an innings in women's Test cricket and this record still stands.
Neetu David said that it is a great honor to be included in the ICC Hall of Fame. It is a matter of pride for a player to wear the national jersey. I have received this honor after contributing to cricket for a long time. It is a great pleasure to join the elite club of experienced players.
