Vikas Yadav: The FBI has issued a warrant against an Indian citizen in connection with the conspiracy to murder Khalistan supporter Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. The name of the person is Vikas Yadav who is said to be a former employee of the Government of India. The Ministry of External Affairs has made it clear that the accused is no longer an employee of the Government of India. Meanwhile, a report has claimed that the Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested Vikas Yadav in the extortion case. In November last year, Vikas Yadav was named as a co-conspirator in US Justice Department documents. About three weeks later he was arrested in India. Sources said that Vikas was released on bail in April this year.

According to the report, on December 18, 2023, the Special Cell of Delhi Police had arrested Vikas Yadav on the basis of an FIR filed by a person resident of Rohini. He was facing serious charges like extortion and kidnapping. It was also claimed that he was related to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The complainant says that earlier he used to run an IT company. Many Indians living in West Asia were related to him. In November last year, my friend, posing as a senior government official, introduced me to Yadav. We shared numbers. We became good friends.

The plan was to extort money by kidnapping

According to a senior officer, Vikas Yadav told the police that his father was working in BSF. He died in the year 2007. Yadav got married in 2015. In this case, he met the complainant at a social event. He planned to earn money after kidnapping her. Vikas was an associate of Yadav, who was a car dealer at that time. He told the police that he had suffered a lot of loss in his business. So he decided to be a part of Yadav's plan. These things are written in the charge sheet. Prosecutors said she contacted police after being kidnapped by Vikas Yadav and his partner. This incident happened on December 17 last year.
