Indian technical staff arrive in Maldives to replace troops returning on March 10

Three takeoff platforms in Maldives

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Maldives, India has three aviation bases in Maldives. One thousand soldiers aboard one of these will return to India by March 10. After this, the Indian soldiers present on two more platforms will leave for their country by May 10.

There are about 80 Indian soldiers in Maldives. It operates two helicopters and one aircraft. It is generally used in defense or government works. In other words, Indian helicopters and aircraft in the Maldives should continue to provide humanitarian aid and medical emergencies to the people there. A technical staff has been sent to handle this work.
