The Indian team will now go on a tour of Sri Lanka, where a 3-match T20 and a 3-match ODI series will be played. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) can announce Team India for the T20 and ODI series on the Sri Lanka tour today i.e. on Wednesday, July 17.
Sri Lanka Itinerary
The Sri Lanka tour will start from July 27. First the T20 series will be played and then the ODI series will start from August 2. Gautam Gambhir will start his tenure as the head coach from this series. There may be a big change in the captaincy of Team India for the T20 series on this tour.
This player can be made captain
Earlier it was believed that after Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya would be made the captain of the T20 team, but now it is being said in many media reports that not Hardik Pandya but Suryakumar Yadav will be made the captain of the Indian T20 team on the Sri Lanka tour. Surya can be made the regular captain of the T20 team not only for the Sri Lanka series but also till the 2026 T20 World Cup.
